Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Creative Greenlight LLC operates Crafty (formerly Crafty Kids), an app and website for making crafts. This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone who decides to use our Service.

1. Information Collection and Use

While using our app, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

2. Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app, we collect data and information on your phone called Log Data.

3. Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. Our app does not use cookies explicitly.

4. Service Providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals for the following reasons: to facilitate our Service, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

Account, projects, and media

When you sign in, we use your account identifier, name, and email to provide your account. Google Firebase provides authentication, database, media storage, notifications, and hosting. Saved projects, progress, shopping lists, support messages, and content you choose to upload may be associated with your account. Apple processes subscription payments made in the iOS app. Stripe processes subscription payments made on this website. We do not store card numbers. We keep subscription status, plan, and renewal date on your account so membership works on the web and in the app. See Stripe’s privacy policy.

Photos and videos you upload for craft projects or finished makes are stored to provide those features. Content published by the studio or approved for the community can be visible to other people. Sharing a media link can also allow its recipient to view that media. Photos kept only on your device are not automatically uploaded to the community.

Optional AI help for creators

Authorized creators can choose to have OpenAI help write a project draft. Before sending anything, the creator must explicitly allow the selected photos and notes to be sent to OpenAI. We resize photos and remove image metadata before this request. We do not send the account profile, email address, or other library photos as part of the drafting prompt. The normal project editor works without this feature.

Draft requests pass through our Firebase service. We retain the generated draft, request fingerprint, and usage information associated with the creator to reuse identical requests for up to seven days and control costs and abuse. Raw input photos are not stored in this draft cache; photos are stored in our project media storage when you apply the draft. Requests are sent to OpenAI with response storage disabled. OpenAI may still retain data under its applicable API security and abuse-monitoring policies; this is not a promise of zero retention. See OpenAI’s privacy policy. Check the draft before publishing, and avoid including personal or sensitive details that are not needed for your craft.

Your choices

You can use the public craft library without creating an account, choose which photos or videos to provide, decline AI processing, and manage notification permissions in device settings. For questions about access, correction, or removal of your information, contact support@craftykidsapp.com. Account and project information is retained to provide the service and respond to your requests; limited records may need to be retained for security or legal obligations.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we strive to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it.

6. Links to Other Sites

Our Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
