One shopping list for the week’s make

Queue a project and its materials land in Shop. Check things off as you gather them. Members can send the whole table to Amazon. Anyone can still walk the cupboard with a thumb on the list.

A craft shopping list is useful only if it is shorter than the scavenger hunt it replaces. Crafty does not pretend every make lives in the junk drawer. Some weeks the cupboard is enough. Some weeks the list is a single drugstore run: glue, a pack of paper, twine. That honesty is the point of crafts with household items — and of this screen.

How the list is built

Shop is the third tab. At the top: the projects you queued, each with a quantity. Under that: materials, rolled together. If two projects both need card stock, you see one line with a count, not two errands.

Empty list? Add this week’s free project from the same screen. That build does not require membership. Checking a circle does not require membership either. You can stand in the kitchen and strike “glue stick” when you find one behind the tap.

1. Pick a make in Discover — a paper craft on a free week, or whatever fits the window.
2. Add it so the materials join Shop.
3. Walk the house first. Then one store, if the list still has holes.
4. Open the make. Gather is the first page; the same materials wait there with quantities.

Amazon, without making Amazon the brand

When you are a member, and the materials have cart links, Shop can open an Amazon cart in one tap. That is a convenience for the things you do not already own. It is not a promise that every ASIN is in stock, on sale, or the only right glue in your town.

Prefer the grocery aisle? Fine. Prefer the recycling bin for tubes and boxes? Also fine. The list is a checklist, not a storefront we own.

Quantities for more than one pair of hands

A playdate is not a kit per child. Raise the project quantity and the materials scale. Two, four, six kids at the table — the adult still runs scissors. The list just stops you from running out of paper halfway through the chains.

What this is not

Crafty does not snap a photo of your cupboard and guess what you can make. That is a different app’s trick. We start from a project that fits the time you have, then tell you what to fetch. If you already have the paper, you check it off and skip the shop. If you don’t, the list is why you came.
